About the Position Personal assistance is a service under LSS (the Act on Support and Service for Certain Persons with Disabilities). As a personal assistant, you will primarily help your client with everything that arises in daily life and with basic needs. Your work involves protecting your client's self-determination and integrity, and contributing to a smooth everyday life. Each assistance assignment is uniquely tailored to the client's life, so work tasks can vary depending on the workplace. The client is a 5-year-old girl living with her family in Lindesberg. She is a girl full of energy who loves to play and be active. She has extensive care needs and requires supervision around the clock and uses a wheelchair most of the time. As a personal assistant, you will help her in areas where her disabilities set limitations. Your tasks will include supporting her with communication, transfers, personal care, and activities both at home and outside. Who Are You? The role of personal assistant makes high demands on your ability to build good relationships. To thrive as a personal assistant, it's important that there is good personal chemistry between you and your client. We are therefore looking for someone who is attentive, engaged, and responsible. You have plenty of energy and enjoy work where you can be very active. It's also important that you can take initiative on your own, see what needs to be done, and are flexible according to the client's needs. We particularly welcome female applicants for this position, but the greatest emphasis will be placed on personal suitability. For this position, you must: have good knowledge of Swedish have a B driver's license and access to your own car to travel to the client, unless you live in Lindesberg tolerate pet hair as there is a cat in the household have good physical health and be able to work at a fast pace have previous experience working with children be a non-smoker For this position, it is advantageous if you: have previous experience in the role of personal assistant have experience with AAC (Augmentative and Alternative Communication) have experience with feeding tubes have experience with intellectual disabilities Great weight will be placed on personal suitability. Work Hours, Employment Level, and Salary The current employment form is "for the duration of the assistance assignment" with an employment level of approximately 50%. Work hours are scheduled for daytime and evening hours. Examples of work hours are weekdays 16:30-21:00 and alternate weekends 09:00-19:00. Fixed hourly wage according to agreement and other compensation according to collective agreement. Start date according to agreement.
