Who We Are Looking For:
IGS Assistans is currently seeking a personal assistant for a client in Södertälje. We welcome applications from both men and women.
The client requires assistance 24 hours a day. We especially see that you have the possibility to work night shifts since we have the greatest need for staff during the night. During the night, the assistant works from 8 p.m. to 7/8 a.m.
Opportunity for permanent employment on a scheduled basis is available.
It is an advantage if you live in the same area and can start immediately.
About the Client:
I am a 30-year-old woman who uses a wheelchair and live in an apartment. I have a muscle disease that makes me physically weak, and therefore I need help with most things in my daily life. However, I speak and think for myself, so I need help performing what I need to do physically, which my body unfortunately limits me from being able to do.
I am interested in math, data, and creative pursuits. I enjoy spending time with friends, watching movies, listening to music, and doing beadwork. I also enjoy drawing and painting.
I have a dog that I enjoy playing with. For this reason, it is important that you are not allergic to pets or afraid of dogs.
It is important that you have a good command of Swedish, both spoken and written, so that we can communicate without hindrance, but also so that you can help me with writing.
Requirements:
You are flexible, thorough, attentive, and professional.
You are a quick learner and look forward to learning new things.
You speak good Swedish; however, it does not need to be your native language.
You are willing to step up when needed.
You understand the importance of confidentiality.
You are a non-smoker, or can be one during your entire work shift.
You have good physical fitness to perform transfers. There may be many repositioning movements during a shift.
Meritorious:
Experience with epilepsy
Nursing assistant training
Driver's license category B
Basic cooking skills
Other Information:
The client is immunocompromised, so basic hygiene procedures and face masks are essential. COVID-19 vaccination is a requirement. A driver's license is a merit but not a requirement. We welcome applications from both women and men of all ages. If you become a candidate for the position, you will complete an orientation with a regular assistant before you start working independently.
