About the Position In the role of personal assistant, you help the customer with what comes up in their daily life. Personal assistance is a service according to LSS (the Act on Support and Services for Persons with Certain Disabilities). Each customer is unique and the work tasks vary based on individual needs. The work can, for example, involve helping with mobility, personal care, exercise and communication, as well as daily chores and activities inside and outside the home. You respect the customer's self-determination and integrity and contribute to making everyday life function in a safe and smooth way. To thrive as a personal assistant, it is important that there is good chemistry between you and the customer. Since each assistance is unique, we will find out more about you during the recruitment process to create the best possible match. You will receive information about which customer or customers you may work for and how the work is organized in each assignment. At Humana, it is important that both you as an assistant and the customer feel secure in the collaboration. Therefore, all new assistants receive a customized introduction, both to the professional role and to the specific customer you will be working for. Who Are You? We are looking for someone who is good at building positive relationships, has great commitment, wants to take responsibility, and easily adapts to new situations. Since all our customers have different needs and wishes, we ask you to answer the selection questions as clearly and thoroughly as possible – this increases the chance that we can match you with the right assignment. We are now looking for you who meet the following: Have previous experience working in care and support Have very good knowledge of Swedish in speech, writing, and comprehension Have a B driver's license and access to your own car Are a non-smoker Have good physical fitness as heavy lifting and transfers occur It is also advantageous if you: Have training as a nursing assistant Have previously worked as a personal assistant Have experience working with children and young people Have experience with low-arousal approach (LAB) Have experience with lifting techniques with and without a lift Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability. Working Hours and Employment Type As a temporary hourly worker, you work as needed for one or more of our customers in Skövde, Tibro, Falköping, Skara, Hjo, and Lidköping. Working hours vary based on customers' needs and may include day, evening, night, weekday, and weekend shifts. We try to the best of our ability to match your availability and preferences with the operation's needs. Being Employed at Humana A prerequisite for starting employment with us at Humana is that you, as the applicant, can present a valid ID document and any documents that prove your right to work in Sweden. To work as a personal assistant, you must be at least 18 years old. Pursuant to legislation, we as an employer are required to request a criminal record check from all employees who will work as personal assistants for a child under 18 years of age. Therefore, you need to present an excerpt from the police's criminal record register and suspicion register before a potential employment.
