About the Position Personal assistance is a service under LSS (the Swedish Act on Support and Services for Persons with Certain Disabilities). As a personal assistant, you will mainly help the client with everything that arises in daily life and with basic needs. Your work involves respecting the client's autonomy and integrity, and contributes to smooth daily functioning. Each assistance arrangement is uniquely tailored to the client's life, so work tasks may vary depending on the workplace. The client is a woman in her 50s living in Örebro who has a spinal cord injury and uses a wheelchair. She leads an active life with interests including attending theater and concerts, and enjoys spending time at her summer cottage. As an assistant, you will help her with daily activities, transfers, household tasks, and accompany her as support during her activities and travels. Who Are You? The role of personal assistant places high demands on the ability to build good relationships. We are therefore looking for someone who is attentive, engaged, and responsible. It is also important that you can take initiative and see what needs to be done. To thrive as a personal assistant, it is important that there is good personal chemistry between you and the client. For this position, you must: have good knowledge of Swedish have a B-level driver's license and access to your own car have good physical fitness to perform transfers tolerate pets as a dog and cat live in the home be smoke-free during work hours have experience as a personal assistant or equivalent work For this position, it is advantageous if you: have previous experience with mobility aids share the client's interests Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability. Work Hours, Employment Degree, and Salary The current employment arrangement is "for the duration of the assistance assignment" with an employment degree of approximately 80%. Work hours are scheduled during day and evening, both weekdays and weekends. Fixed hourly wage by agreement and other compensation according to collective agreement.
