We are seeking an assistant on an hourly basis for a charming and wonderful 9-year-old boy who lives in Laxå and Kumla. He has significant support needs and therefore requires constant supervision and assistance with everything from feeding via a button on his stomach, to training and stimulation. He was born with a rare syndrome, has epilepsy, and severe visual impairment. He does best in environments where he feels safe. Music and a bit of playfulness make him extra happy! As an assistant, you need to be resourceful and make each day valuable and enriching. He needs help with hygiene and feeding (tube feeding). Experience from similar work is an advantage, but most importantly, the personal chemistry needs to be right! We would very much like you to have a vision of a long-term collaboration – that is what we wish for him and his family. Assistant Role and Experience For this position, we are looking most of all for the right person, but we would like to see that you have a driver's license and your own car. It is positive if you have experience working with children and understanding of what epilepsy and tube feeding involve. Most important, however, is how the support and assistance works together with the customer and his family. Desirable Experience Experience with epilepsy. Experience with tube feeding. Class B driver's license. Fluent Swedish. Working Hours/Degree of Employment Extra as needed when the regular assistant is absent due to illness or vacation. Shifts are distributed across all hours of the day. About Salary We apply salary according to Fremia. Collective agreement. We offer wellness benefits.
