The Department of Zoology is one of the departments at the Faculty of Science and has approximately 80 employees, including researchers, doctoral students, and administrative staff. Research and education at the department take place in an international environment and focus on animal biology. Outstanding and high-quality research is conducted in a range of topics, including behavior, conservation, ecology, evolution, and genomics. Duties As an HR Specialist with us, you have broad responsibility for the department's HR work – from ongoing HR administration to strategic and advisory support to managers and employees. You serve as the department's HR expert and are the primary contact person in complex personnel and work environment matters. You also have an important role in the organization's board. Your main duties include: Manager Support and Advisory Services: Provide qualified support and advice to the Head of Department and other managers in personnel matters. This includes support in rehabilitation cases, difficult personnel situations, MBL negotiations, and interpretation of agreements and regulations. Work Environment, Equal Conditions, and Environmental Work: Coordinate the department's work on work environment, equal conditions, and preventive measures. You provide support to the work environment group and safety representatives, are responsible for establishing and following up action plans, and follow up on employee surveys and work environment measures. The role also includes driving and coordinating the department's equality and environmental work. Onboarding & Relocation: Coordinate and develop orientation for new employees and offer practical support in migration and settlement matters for international employees. Recruitment Support & HR Development: Assist in recruitment processes, participate in developing local HR procedures and processes, and actively participate in the university's HR network and monitor HR issues in the external environment. HR Administration: Handle ongoing personnel administration and matters in Primula (employment, reimbursements, and leave) and introduction and administration of doctoral students in Ladok. Your responsibilities also include issuing certificates, producing statistics and reports, and ensuring that the department's personnel procedures are followed. Board Work: Serve as chair of the department's board. Qualifications We are looking for someone who has A university degree in HR/PA, or other education/experience that the employer deems equivalent. Experience in HR work and qualified advisory manager support within the higher education or public sector. Good knowledge of the systems Primula, Varbi, and Ladok (research level). Good knowledge of the Office package. Fluent knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and written (as we have many international employees). Meritorious qualifications include Experience with the systems W3D3 and Raindance. Good insight into and experience applying the government framework agreements and MBL negotiations. Experience in coordinating work environment, equal conditions, and environmental matters. Experience with education and research administrative processes at a university or college. Furthermore, you have high integrity, good communication skills, and enjoy collaborating with different professional categories in an academic environment.
