About Furuvillan Group Home
Furuvillan group home is home to individuals who have a diagnosis within the autism spectrum and an intellectual disability.
The group home has six apartments with open-plan layouts between kitchen and living room, and separate bedrooms. All apartments have access to their own outdoor patio.
Common areas include a kitchen, living room, and activity room. The house also has staff facilities.
Outside the group home is a beautiful garden with shared outdoor spaces where residents can enjoy both tranquility and social interaction.
About the Work
As a support assistant, you are responsible for ensuring that residents receive the support, care, and assistance they need and are entitled to. You work independently and goal-focused based on the organization's routines and implementation plans. You enable individual development based on each resident's own circumstances. Your work tasks include providing practical support with personal care, meals, cleaning, laundry, and other household tasks as needed, based on individual needs, wishes, and implementation plans. This also includes maintenance of common areas such as common spaces, laundry room, and staff room. You will work closely with family members and/or guardians/trustees, as well as various resource teams. You possess the ability to find solutions in daily work, contribute to a good work environment, and actively participate in quality work. You use and share knowledge gained through training.
The role as support assistant also includes certain medical tasks. You are responsible for following instructions delegated by healthcare personnel.
In your role, there may be areas of responsibility and ombudsman roles that exist in the organization.
As a support assistant, you actively work with individual adaptations and communication aids. In Täby Municipality, we use communication tools such as Symbolbruket.
Who We Are Looking For
We are looking for someone with pedagogical education, for example from a child and leisure program, or alternatively other equivalent education as assessed by the employer. You have experience working with autism, visual support pedagogy, and social documentation, and you can work in a low-affect manner. Knowledge of TEACCH, AAC, and LAB is a merit.

The position requires that you have excellent command of the Swedish language, both spoken and written. You need to be able to speak, read, document, and understand instructions in Swedish.
A probationary employment of up to 6 months may be applied.

The position involves work during day, evening, sleep-in shifts, and every other weekend. The position is 90%.
