Senior Pension Inspector position – state civil service official in the International Services Department, Pension Division (ES group)

We offer:
monthly salary (gross) from EUR 1227 to EUR 1302 (according to the assessment of individual monthly salary setting criteria);
the opportunity to expand your knowledge and gain practical work experience in state administration;

Main responsibilities:
process documents and input data into information systems;
conduct correspondence with competent institutions of other countries;
prepare and issue administrative acts;
advise clients on social security matters in accordance with EU regulations and international agreements.
We expect:
compliance with the requirements of Article 7 of the State Civil Service Law;
higher education (preferably in law or with economist/financier qualifications);
work experience in the last 5 years (preferred experience in customer service and preparation of legal documents in state, municipal or financial institutions (at least 1 year));
education obtained in the state language or state language proficiency at C1 level;
desirable good knowledge of English and Russian (at least B2 level: the requirement for foreign language proficiency stems from VSAA's task to ensure the administration of social insurance services in accordance with Republic of Latvia and EU legislation and bilateral interstate agreements on cooperation in social security);
ability to apply EU regulations, normative acts, knowledge of administrative procedures and state social insurance;
client orientation;
good communication skills and argumentation abilities, accuracy;
ability to work with office equipment and computer programs.

a motivated application letter containing information about work experience in accordance with the requirements defined for competition applicants, as well as confirmation of compliance with the requirements of Article 7 of the State Civil Service Law.

The applicant evaluation commission will review only those applications that have the documents specified in the announcement attached.
The selection competition will be held in two rounds. First round – evaluation of applicants based on information in the documents submitted by applicants. Second round – evaluation of applicants during interviews, using discussion and practical task methodology.
We will contact those applicants who are advanced to the second round of personnel selection and inform those invited to interview about the competition results.
We inform that applicants advanced to the 2nd round of the competition will be required to present a document confirming their education received during the interview (for applicants who received education abroad, a document on the academic recognition of education in Latvia must be presented), as well as a document confirming state language proficiency (in case education was not obtained in the state language).
In the event that an applicant submits personal data that is not necessary within the scope of the selection process, it is considered that the applicant has consented to such processing of personal data.
Based on Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council on the protection of natural persons with regard to the processing of personal data and on the free movement of such data and repealing Directive 95/46/EC (General Data Protection Regulation), Article 13, the State Social Insurance Agency informs that:
