Senior Inspector of the Pension Division at the International Services Department – civil service official position (Sigulda)

We offer:
monthly salary (gross) from EUR 1227 to EUR 1302 (according to the assessment of individual monthly salary determination criteria);
the opportunity to expand your knowledge and gain practical work experience in public administration;
social guarantees in accordance with those established in public administration;

work location – Šveices Street 12, Sigulda.
Main responsibilities:
process documents and enter data into information systems;
conduct correspondence with competent authorities of other countries;
prepare and issue administrative acts;
advise clients on social security matters in accordance with EU regulations and international agreements.
We expect:
compliance with the requirements of Article 7 of the State Civil Service Law;
higher education (preferably in law or with qualifications as an economist/financier);
work experience in the last 5 years (preferably experience in customer service and preparation of legal documents in state, municipal, or financial institutions (at least 1 year));
education obtained in the state language or state language proficiency at C level, stage 1;
good knowledge of English and Russian (at least B2 level: foreign language requirement stems from the SSAA's task to ensure the administration of social insurance services in accordance with the Republic of Latvia and EU legal acts and bilateral international agreements on cooperation in the field of social security);
ability to apply EU regulations, normative acts, knowledge of administrative procedures and state social insurance;
customer orientation;
good communication skills and argumentation abilities, accuracy;
ability to work with office equipment and computer programs.
Competition participants are requested to submit the following documents from the date of publication of the announcement on the Employment State Agency's CV and Vacancies Portal until August 19, 2026:
a curriculum vitae (in Latvian) – in accordance with the Europass CV standard, available at www.europass.lv;
a motivated cover letter that includes information about work experience in accordance with the requirements defined for competition participants, as well as confirming compliance with the requirements of Article 7 of the State Civil Service Law.

The candidate evaluation commission will only review applications that include the documents specified in the announcement.
The selection competition will be held in two rounds. First round – evaluation of candidates based on the information provided in the submitted documents. Second round – evaluation of candidates during an interview using discussion and practical task methodology.
We will contact those candidates who are advanced to the second round of personnel selection and will inform the candidates invited to the interview about the competition results.
We inform you that candidates advanced to the 2nd round of the competition will be required to present during the interview a document confirming the education obtained (for candidates who obtained education abroad, a document on the academic recognition of education in Latvia), as well as a document confirming state language proficiency (in case education was not obtained in the state language).
In the event that a candidate submits personal data that is not necessary within the scope of the selection process, it is considered that the candidate has consented to the processing of such personal data.
Based on Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council on the protection of natural persons with regard to the processing of personal data and on the free movement of such data and repealing Directive 95/46/EC (General Data Protection Regulation), Article 13, the State Social Insurance Agency informs that:
