Patient Support Worker

Alfagruppen is a treatment home that has provided care and treatment for adults with substance use disorders since 1987. The treatment team consists of addiction therapists, nurses, patient support workers, psychiatrists, and psychotherapists. We are now looking for a dedicated patient support worker for our facility. To thrive and succeed in this role, we believe you are confident, responsible, and have a genuine commitment to working with people in transition. You are empathetic and attentive while also being able to set clear boundaries and act professionally in various situations. You have a calm and low-affect approach, are solution-oriented, and can build trusting relationships. The role requires you to be flexible, have strong collaboration skills, and be able to work both independently and in close cooperation with other professionals in the treatment team. We also value that you are organized, have good organizational abilities, and contribute to a safe, secure, and drug-free environment for our patients. We place great emphasis on personal suitability. Responsibilities: Support patients in daily routines and activities outside treatment time Work to strengthen motivation and build relationships Supervision and drug testing during on-call shifts Practical tasks such as assisting with meals, basic maintenance work, transporting to/from meetings and activities Document according to facility procedures It is very important that you have experience in substance abuse care, residential care facilities (HVB), social work, or psychiatry. That you are experienced in working with a low-affect and solution-focused approach, and that you are fluent in Swedish both spoken and written. Experience and knowledge of substance use disorder and the 12-step program are advantageous. We use continuous selection, which means interviews may take place before the final application deadline.
