Key Job Responsibilities: Manage the Sports and Culture Department's operations, ensuring effective work planning, organization, and task completion control; Plan and implement the municipality's sports and culture policy, coordinating sector development in accordance with the municipality's development priorities; Coordinate the development, implementation, and monitoring of sports, active recreation, and culture development strategies; Organize and coordinate sports, active recreation, and culture events, ensuring quality and offerings that meet public needs; Coordinate the activities of municipal culture institutions and plan the development of sports facilities; Ensure coordination of national-level sports and culture events within the municipality; Promote cooperation with state institutions, educational establishments, associations, sports and culture organizations, and other partners; Plan the Sports and Culture Department's budget and monitor the efficient and appropriate use of financial resources; Coordinate the preparation and implementation of investment projects in sports and culture; Prepare draft resolutions, reports, regulatory act drafts, and other documents within your competence; Represent the municipality in council, committee, commission, and working group meetings on sports and culture matters. Key Requirements for Applicants: Higher education, preferably in sports, culture, management, or public administration; Work experience in sports or culture management, including management experience, which will be considered an advantage; Understanding of municipal functions in sports and culture and applicable regulatory acts; Excellent Latvian language skills in spoken and written form; Good MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) skills; Strategic thinking, ability to make informed decisions, and willingness to take responsibility; Excellent planning, organization, and team management skills; High sense of responsibility, initiative, analytical thinking, and results-oriented approach; Excellent collaboration and communication skills.
