Valkas novada pašvaldība (reg. No. 40900041716) invites applications for the position of Director of Valkas novada Cultural Center (code per professional classification – 1112 36). Work location: Emīla Dārziņa iela 8, Valka, Valkas novads.
Main job responsibilities:
Lead, plan, organize, and ensure the operation of Valkas novada Cultural Center (hereinafter - Institution) in accordance with the Institution's regulations;
Ensure the development and implementation of regulatory acts, cultural strategies, and other documents necessary for the Institution's operation;
Ensure diversity and accessibility of cultural events in the district;
Promote residents' participation in cultural events and creative leisure activities;
Be responsible for the organization of cultural events in the district, including developing a comprehensive cultural activities work plan and coordinating its implementation;
Ensure the organization of nationally and internationally significant events in Valkas novads;
Be responsible for the performance of subordinate employees' work assignments and their professional development;
Provide cultural methodological support and participation in the song and dance festival movement;
Be responsible for the preservation, efficient use, maintenance, and management of the Institution's financial and material assets;
Prepare the Institution's annual budget proposal;
Enter into business contracts for services and goods procurement to ensure the Institution's business operations.
Requirements for candidates:
Compliance with the requirements of Article 6, Part 2 of the Cultural Centers Law;
Experience in organizing cultural events or implementing cultural projects;
Experience in human resources management, preparation of strategic documents, budget planning and implementation monitoring;
Knowledge of cultural institution work organization and regulatory acts governing the field;
Excellent management, communication, and presentation skills;
State language proficiency at the highest level;
Excellent digital skills;
Category B driver's license.
