Director of the Department of Education, Culture and Sports
We are looking for a professional, experienced, and ambitious leader to manage the department, who will implement education, culture, sport, and youth policies in Riga and develop service quality in the public interest, promoting resident satisfaction and well-being.
We will entrust you with:
planning, managing, organizing, and coordinating the development and implementation of sectoral policies and strategies;
evaluating and efficiently managing the institution's available resources (financial, personnel, material and technical);
planning, managing, and monitoring the institution's budget;
effectively managing the network of education, culture, and sports institutions;
implementing thoughtful and structured changes, ensuring institutional development;
building cooperation with state and municipal institutions, non-governmental organizations, and universities.
We expect:
academic or professional higher education;
experience in stakeholder management;
experience in building cooperation with international organizations;
understanding of public administration and procurement procedures;
experience in attracting competent and highly qualified employees;
strategic vision;
ability to make decisions and take responsibility;
change management and team leadership skills;
results-oriented approach.
We offer:

monthly salary of 5189 euro (before tax);
a cash bonus once per calendar year for significant achievements in reaching institutional goals as provided by regulations;
vacation bonus once per calendar year up to 50% of monthly salary;
