Welcome to us The Urban Environment Unit is responsible for the operation, maintenance and development of parks and green spaces. This includes the operation and maintenance of approximately 100 parks and green areas. Care of green spaces, playgrounds, splash pads, dog parks, beach bathing areas, sports fields and eight allotment garden associations. The operations are organized as a client organization and park maintenance and work within park investments are outsourced. The Unit is planning a transition of park maintenance to in-house operations by 2028. Our goal is for parks and green spaces to be maintained, preserved and developed in a sustainable way with consideration for cultural heritage values. Biodiversity shall increase and ecosystem services shall be strengthened. There should be room for both play and relaxation in well-maintained, safe and beautiful parks that are welcoming to everyone. We consist of two landscape architects, five park engineers, one construction project manager, one urban planner, one project manager and one unit manager. Your role As a park engineer, you are responsible for coordinating the Unit's contract management in ongoing contracts and framework agreements. You administer and chair building meetings/operations meetings with contracted suppliers and the Unit's park engineers/landscape architects. In ongoing agreements, you support your colleagues in developing procedures and working methods for both operational and administrative follow-up. You participate in procurement work and coordinate the Unit's needs in procurement and contract-related legal matters in close cooperation with the administration's procurement team and in dialogue with legal functions at the City Executive Office. In connection with the Urban Environment Unit's partial transition to in-house operations, you are also responsible for developing procedures and guidance for work performed by the Unit's own employees. Your competence and experience We are looking for you who have: an engineering degree in landscape planning or property management, or alternatively post-secondary education that the employer deems equivalent. If you lack relevant education, equivalent knowledge must be acquired through practical experience in combination with post-secondary education in areas such as economics, law or administration. multiple years of experience interpreting and following up agreements within urban environment or property management. good computer skills, including active use of various Office suite programs very good ability to express yourself clearly in both speech and writing in Swedish. It is a merit if you have: experience working in a politically governed organization, preferably municipal good understanding of what it means to be governed by the Public Procurement Act (LOU) and contract law experience in finance and operations management experience working with follow-up of contractor agreements within garden maintenance or property maintenance and ground contracting. To succeed in this role, you are flexible and self-driven, which is required as the work is varied and you need to find quick and efficient solutions to problems and changing circumstances that arise. You are guided by goal and results-oriented thinking in prioritization, planning and action.
