Key Responsibilities: Lead and develop the work of the data processing, analysis and dissemination division; Ensure the calculation, analysis and publication of statistical indicators in accordance with European System of Accounts requirements; Improve data processing, quality control and statistical information preparation processes; Coordinate and guide the development of statistical methodology within your area of competence; Participate in the implementation of strategic projects and modernization of statistical processes; Represent the Central Statistical Bureau in Latvian and international institutions, working groups and cooperation projects; Develop the professional capacity of the team, promoting collaboration, knowledge transfer and high quality work. We Expect: Academic or second-level professional higher education in economics, statistics, information technology, financial analysis or a related field; At least 3 years of professional experience in statistics, economics or data analytics; experience in public administration is desirable; Experience in team management; Understanding of data processing, analysis and quality assurance principles; Desirable knowledge of European System of Accounts methodology and state financial statistics; Good skills in MS Office and with one of the data processing tools (SQL, R or Python); English language knowledge at least B2 level (oral and written) for professional cooperation in an international environment and work with methodological materials; Excellent collaboration, communication, presentation and argumentation skills; Compliance with the requirements of Article 7 of the State Civil Service Law.
