VSAA announces a competition for
a Benefits Inspector position (State Civil Service Official, Group 3) at the Ventspils Regional Office, Benefits Division (in Talsi)

We offer:
• monthly gross salary from EUR 1076 to EUR 1180 (according to the evaluation of individual monthly salary determination criteria);

Main responsibilities:
• provide consultations on a person's rights to VSAA services;
• process documents and enter data into information systems;
• determine eligibility for services and issue administrative acts;
• monitor service payments.
We expect:
• compliance with the requirements of Article 7 of the State Civil Service Law;
• higher education (preferably in law, economics, or finance);
• desirable previous work experience in the last 5 years (experience in preparing legal documents in state administration or municipal institutions will be considered an advantage);
• education in the state language or state language proficiency at Level C, Stage 1;
• ability to apply regulatory acts, knowledge of administrative procedures and state social insurance;
• customer orientation;
• good communication skills and argumentation abilities;
• ability to work with office equipment and computer programs.

• a curriculum vitae (CV in Latvian) – in accordance with the Europass CV standard, available on the website www.europass.lv;
• a motivated cover letter containing information about professional experience in the last five years in accordance with the requirements defined for competition candidates, as well as confirming compliance with the requirements of Article 7 of the State Civil Service Law.

We inform you that candidates advanced to the 2nd round of the competition will be required to present a document confirming their education during the interview (for candidates who have received education abroad, a document confirming the academic recognition of education in Latvia must be presented), as well as a document confirming state language proficiency (if education was not obtained in the state language).

The candidate evaluation commission will consider only those applications to which both documents specified in the announcement have been attached.
The selection competition will take place in two rounds. The first round – evaluation of candidates based on information in the documents submitted by candidates. The second round – evaluation of candidates during interviews using interview and practical task methods.
We will contact the candidates who are advanced to the second round of the personnel selection and inform the candidates invited to the interview about the competition results.
If a candidate submits personal data that is not necessary within the scope of the selection process, it is considered that the candidate has consented to the processing of such personal data.
