Our Operations We work in a line-based organization and are now offering a position as Chief Pathologist/Assistant Chief Pathologist in Clinical Pathology and Cytology. You will be one of approximately 40 pathologists within Akademiska Laboratory's Clinical Pathology section. Akademiska Laboratory comprises five sections with just under 700 employees, of which approximately 125 work within the Clinical Pathology section. The operations are diagnostically sub-specialized with well-functioning diagnostics and research & development with close collaboration with Uppsala University, among others. We have also received several designated healthcare areas. Your Assignment Diagnostic work and development within clinical pathology and/or cytology with a focus that depends on your background and the clinic's needs. Work tasks also include development work, participation in clinical rounds, and supervision of resident physicians. Service at a university hospital requires participation in teaching at various levels and provides the opportunity to participate in research projects. Your Qualifications We are seeking a licensed physician with specialist competence in clinical pathology and/or cytology. Academic credentials are viewed as an asset at a University Hospital. The work places great demands on interaction with other colleagues in clinical pathology and with colleagues in other disciplines within the framework of multidisciplinary work, which is why good collaboration skills and humility are considered valuable personal qualities for the position. Personal qualities may therefore be prioritized over other merits. Expert review will be conducted for assessment regarding Chief Pathologist and Assistant Chief Pathologist positions.
