The Department of Imaging and Function at Skåne University Hospital (SUS) encompasses the specialties of medical radiology, clinical physiology and nuclear medicine, as well as clinical neurophysiology and neuroradiology. Alongside our clinical operations, we conduct extensive education and research activities. The Gastrointestinal Radiology Section at the Department of Imaging and Function is a comprehensive diagnostic department with MR and CT imaging, conventional X-ray with fluoroscopy, as well as large ultrasound and gastrointervention units. 1 position(s). RESPONSIBILITIES We are now seeking a Chief Physician in medical radiology for the Department of Imaging and Function, positioned at the Gastrointestinal Radiology Section. As a Chief Physician with us, you will work across multiple modalities in gastrointestinal radiology. You will also participate in multidisciplinary conferences, develop diagnostic methods, and teaching and mentoring are integral parts of the role. The primary duty station is Malmö. However, work may also take place in Lund. QUALIFICATIONS We are seeking someone who is a licensed physician with authorization to practice within Swedish healthcare, and: - Specialist competence in medical radiology or equivalent. - Swedish language skills at least corresponding to level C1 according to the Council of Europe scale. - Completed or planned training course in clinical mentoring. - Full-time employment of at least five years (documented effective time). - Clinical proficiency and independence in CT, MR, and ultrasound imaging. - Documented teaching and mentoring merits. - PhD degree. A PhD and/or specialist examination can be credited as equivalent to six months of clinical service combined. Extensive knowledge of computed tomography and ultrasound of abdominal organs is particularly meritorious. As a person, we see that you have good collaboration skills with both physician colleagues and other professional categories. We also value your ability to initiate and drive quality improvement and efficiency projects. Great weight is placed on personal suitability. At a university hospital, physicians are required to have pedagogical experience and training. You may have acquired this through mentoring nursing and medical students, physicians in training, and as a co-advisor or main advisor of doctoral candidates. Clearly describe in your application any completed or planned pedagogical courses, experience with mentoring and teaching at various levels.
