Chief Physician with drive to develop 24-hour care services in child and adolescent psychiatry. Child and Adolescent Psychiatry in Norrbotten has 6 inpatient beds and is now seeking a Chief Physician who wants to combine medical expertise with development capabilities and genuine commitment. Read more about us at javascript:void(0) What we are looking for We are looking for you with Swedish medical license and completed specialist service in child or adult psychiatry, as well as good knowledge of Swedish language in both speech and writing corresponding to level C1 according to the Common European Framework of Reference (CEFR). As a Chief Physician, you should have: many years of well-documented clinical service (at least 4 years) as a specialist physician with broad and comprehensive knowledge in the specialty and/or relevant subspecialty required for work in the department documented teaching and supervision qualifications (including approved ST supervisor training) competence to be an independent on-call physician, which also means being medically responsible during on-call shifts A PhD with active research in a relevant field of study is meriting. What you will work with As a specialist physician in our 24-hour care unit, you are responsible for psychiatric assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of our patients. You work in a team with close collaboration with psychologists, social workers, nurses, and nursing assistants. Your work tasks also include supervising residents, junior physicians, and resident trainees, as well as participation in the clinic's on-call operations. Serving as a Chief Physician means increased responsibility compared to serving as a specialist physician. A Chief Physician: shall have medical knowledge and competence to be independently medically responsible for a certain area and takes part in overall responsibility for their specialty as well as part of the overall responsibility for the clinic's total operations.
