The Senior Physician Role
As a senior physician in mammography at Länssjukhuset Ryhov in Jönköping, you will be responsible for independently evaluating clinical patients using ultrasound, biopsy, stereotaxis, and vacuum excisions. Screening review is also part of your work. We also use MR imaging for evaluation when needed. We will be introducing contrast mammography and AI in the near future.
You will have extensive patient contact and collaborate with other staff members in the breast care process. You will lead or participate in multidisciplinary conferences and supervise resident physicians.
This is a full-time permanent position, starting date by agreement. Working hours are daytime on weekdays.
Your Future Workplace
Radiology is a regional 24/7 clinic with approximately 360 employees located at three hospitals in the region: Länssjukhuset Ryhov in Jönköping, Höglandssjukhuset in Eksjö, and Värnamo sjukhus. Radiology provides modern, high-technology diagnostics and offers a broad and advanced range of examinations. We perform angiointerventions, skeletal and lung radiography, CT scans, MRI examinations, ultrasound, and PET-CT.
The mammography unit is part of the regional radiology clinic in Region Jönköpings län. Mammography performs approximately 10,000 clinical examinations and 36,000 health screenings annually. Clinical services are located in Jönköping. Health screenings take place in Jönköping, in the mammography unit in Höglandet, and at the radiology clinic in Värnamo. We have approximately 30 employees, and the team welcoming you consists of breast radiologists, radiologic technologists, and healthcare administrators. We use Sectra RIS and PACS systems.

Your Profile
We seek a trained radiologist, preferably with completed or ongoing specialist training in mammography. We value at least two years of mammography experience, as you will need to be able to perform all aspects of mammography work. It is also important to us that you thrive in an environment focused on development.
As a person, you are responsible and organize your work well. With patients, you are calm and accommodating, always prioritizing their best interests. You have good ability to quickly adapt to changing circumstances and act with the organization's best interests in mind.
Since you will work closely with colleagues, strong collaboration skills are important to us. We place great emphasis on personal suitability.
