Do you want to develop and ensure quality in financial assistance work? Then you could be our new appeals officer! Who are we? The Competence Supply Office's mission is to make the future workforce visible and be an active part in solving Norrköping's competence supply needs. With our shared resources and professional expertise, we are a central part internally and externally for society's growth and individual development. We design effective and flexible education based on competence supply needs and career transitions in working life, with initiatives for those far from the labor market. We give our residents the opportunity to grow and develop, where the path to self-sufficiency should be as short as possible. This increases residents' quality of life where more people take responsibility and contribute to a sustainable future. Competence supply is the word that unites us in our mission across all the activities we work for. Within the office, we have approximately 400 employees responsible for support services according to the Social Services Act, municipal labor market measures, budget and debt counseling, and adult education from Swedish for Immigrants (SFI) to university college. We provide administrative support to the Competence Supply Board. Within financial assistance, we are part of the ultimate safety net and meet people who have found themselves in difficult situations. Our task is both to investigate the right to financial assistance and to guide the person toward self-sufficiency. Financial assistance consists of five units, one of which is the Specialist and Control unit. The unit works with specializations; among other things, debt recovery, dental care, appeals, incorrect payments, sampling, probate matters, and budget and debt counseling. On the unit, engaged social workers, appeals officers, and senior social workers are employed. We are now looking for a driven and engaged appeals officer to join our team! Your responsibilities As an appeals officer, you are responsible for handling appeals that come to the financial assistance unit. This could, for example, involve appeals of decisions or decisions related to activity requirements. The position involves many exciting contact points and opportunities for collaboration. You will, among other things, have contact with authorities, city attorneys, and other actors. If necessary, you may also participate in oral hearings at the administrative court. You will have a central role in our continued work to develop financial assistance. Through your role, you will have the opportunity to see the operation from a broader perspective, identify opportunities for improvement, and contribute to developing working methods that create value for both the operation and the people we meet. As an appeals officer, you support your colleagues with various questions and serve as a sounding board. You also work with feedback at both group and individual levels, with a focus on learning and development. You hold workshops for all units within financial assistance and collaborate with the operation on development issues, working methods, and quality. Who are you? We are looking for someone who has a degree in social work or another equivalent university degree with 7.5 credits in social law. You have experience working with financial assistance and are used to meeting people in different situations. You are communicative, confident, and clear in your communication and have good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written. Since the role involves contact with authorities and courts, we see that you can express yourself well and professionally, both orally and in writing. You have a good ability to absorb information, interpret decisions, and formulate clear and well-substantiated assessments. You are independent and have good judgment. You can quickly familiarize yourself with different types of information, see the whole picture, and at the same time pay attention to important details. You feel confident making your own assessments and making decisions based on available information. You can also explain and justify your positions in a clear and factual manner. You work in a structured and efficient manner and have a good ability to organize and prioritize your work tasks. You take responsibility for driving the work forward and can meet deadlines and keep agreed timeframes. You are flexible, solution-oriented, and easily adapt when circumstances change. You can reprioritize based on the situation's needs while maintaining structure, quality, and a professional approach. Collaboration is an integral part of your working style. You easily create good relationships and contribute to a positive work environment where you share your knowledge. We look forward to receiving your application!
