Do you want to be part of developing a more connected and data-driven factory? Here you'll have a key role in designing, developing, and monitoring production networks – and contribute to the future of smart industrial environments.
Why Seco?
Production at Seco in Fagersta is far from the traditional hard metal industry image many have. Here you'll work in a technically advanced environment where OT and IT meet, and where your work makes a real difference in production.
Work close to production and influence the development of smart factories.
Combine OT and IT in a modern, technology-driven environment.
Become part of an engaged and inclusive company culture.
About the Role
You'll be responsible for ensuring stability, security, and continuous development of the network infrastructure in an industrial production environment. You'll work closely with production engineers and colleagues in maintenance, IT, and global functions, building bridges between industrial automation systems and OT infrastructure.
Your Responsibilities
Design secure architecture and functionality for OT networks
Develop segmentation, zoning, and cybersecurity approaches
Manage and further develop OT firewall rules and network flows from a risk-based perspective
Prepare and update technical documentation, risk assessments, and compliance documentation
Analyze and document network flows between OT systems, equipment, and adjacent IT services
Support deployment of new equipment and work closely with technical and production teams
Location and Flexibility
The position is based in Fagersta and involves close collaboration with production. You'll have the opportunity to combine on-site work with working from home a couple of days per week, depending on tasks and business needs.
Your Profile
You have a strong interest in network technology, ideally related to production environments, and thrive in a role where hands-on work meets technical analysis. With your experience, you'll help develop structure, segmentation, and long-term approaches within OT networks.
You also have:
Strong background in networking and cybersecurity within IT/OT infrastructure.
Experience working in production-critical environments with high availability requirements.
Practical experience applying the Purdue Model and segmentation strategies.
Experience troubleshooting complex network environments.
Knowledge of principles, standards, and frameworks for industrial cybersecurity (e.g., IEC 62443, ISO 27001, NIST, EU CRA).
Experience with firewalls, VLANs, routing, network troubleshooting, traffic flow analysis, and industrial communication patterns is a plus.
As a person, you're engaged and self-driven, tackling challenges with an analytical and structured approach. Collaboration comes naturally to you, and you communicate clearly and build good relationships. With practical skills and an innovative approach, you find solutions where others see obstacles.
