OT Engineer - Windows Deployment & Migration

About the Role As an OT Engineer, you are responsible for planning and executing Windows imaging, deployment, and migration activities within OT and production environments. The role focuses on device replacement, operating system installations, application distribution, client configuration, and support during migrations. You will work closely with IT, OT, and operations teams to ensure a smooth transition with minimal impact on production. Experience from the manufacturing industry, production facilities, or other industrial environments is a plus. Key Responsibilities In this role, you will, among other things: Perform Windows 10 and Windows 11 installations and deployments using MECM/SCCM and Task Sequences. Execute upgrades and migrations of client computers, including hardware replacement, reinstallations, and in-place upgrades. Ensure compatibility between hardware, operating systems, and applications prior to migrations. Install and configure operating systems, drivers, business-critical applications, and security settings. Manage user profile and data migration using appropriate tools and methods. Perform domain joins in Active Directory, verify GPO settings, enable BitLocker, and conduct compliance and security checks. Coordinate migration activities with IT, OT, site, and operations teams. Troubleshoot issues related to installations, applications, deployments, and endpoint management. Provide on-site support during migrations, execute cutover activities, and offer enhanced support post-migration. Document processes, procedures, implementations, and knowledge articles. Ensure change management, security requirements, and operational standards are followed throughout the migration process. Qualifications Technical Requirements We are looking for someone with experience in: Windows 10 and Windows 11 Deployment & Migration Operating System Deployment (OSD) Application distribution and packaging BitLocker administration Troubleshooting and support of client environments Asset Management, compliance, and reporting Incident and Change Management in ServiceNow Desirable Experience 2-3 years of experience with endpoint management and Windows migration projects. Experience with client management in industrial, production, or shop floor environments. Knowledge of migration assessments, application compatibility testing, and automated deployment solutions. Understanding of the requirements and constraints specific to OT and manufacturing environments. Language Requirements Swedish and English, fluent in both spoken and written form.
