We are seeking an orthoptist for our pediatric team in Region Sörmland!
About Us
Eye Clinic Sörmland is a regional clinic with three locations in Eskilstuna, Katrineholm, and Nyköping. We perform cataract surgeries, outpatient procedures, anti-VEGF treatments, and manage patients with various chronic eye diseases. Our eye clinic staff includes ophthalmic nurses, nurses, nursing assistants, opticians, orthoptists, medical secretaries, and ophthalmologists. You will work both closely with colleagues in teams and independently, contributing to high flexibility and close collaboration across professional boundaries.
As an orthoptist with us, you will work in a regional pediatric team with two pediatric ophthalmologists and two orthoptists. The pediatric team holds regular conferences where the entire team discusses patient cases and general matters regarding patient care. Participation in orthoptist meetings and pediatric ophthalmology meetings throughout the country is a high priority.
Since we have clinics at all hospitals in the region, travel may be required as part of the work.
Your Responsibilities
• Examination of children and adults
• Eyeglass prescriptions
• Refraction
• Amblyopia treatment
• Examination and treatment of diplopia issues
• Neuro-ophthalmological examination
• FUS prior to strabismus surgery
Your Qualifications
You must be a trained orthoptist. Previous experience is an advantage, and we highly value teamwork skills and flexibility as we work in a regional pediatric team.
The work location is flexible and can be at one of our hospitals in Eskilstuna, Nyköping, or Katrineholm.

Employment Type
