We are now seeking an orchestra technician for our technical department at Scenic Art Västernorrland. The technical department consists of 18 people. You will be one of two dedicated orchestra technicians responsible for the Nordic Chamber Orchestra, Nordic Chamber Ensemble, Nordic Brass Quintet, and assigned freelance productions and guest performances under the Music Västernorrland brand. You are responsible for coordinating and practically ensuring, in collaboration with other staff, that stage sets and music equipment are in the right place at the right time; set up according to the documents established before musician auditions, rehearsals and concerts/performances both at our home venues in Sundsvall and on tour. The work takes place in close collaboration with our producers, musicians and visiting artists and occurs during both daytime and evening hours as well as on weekends. In your work you will collaborate with many different kinds of people. Therefore, it is important that you have the ability to build good relationships. As a person, you are proactive, flexible, solution-oriented and have experience working to deadlines. You have good IT/computer skills, master Swedish and English, and have experience from similar touring scenic art activities. You have basic sound and lighting competence. BE driver's license is meritorious. Basic knowledge of orchestra operations is meritorious. We would like you to have an interest in classical music.
