About the Role As a security guard, you have a genuine desire to build good relationships and respect everyone, regardless of background. You are employed by Securitas but work under police authority regulations. Your primary task is to make people feel safe in their daily lives. You do this through presence in public spaces, which hopefully has a calming effect, but if the situation requires it, you are expected to act. The current assignment involves increasing safety in Norrtälje Municipality. You will be based in Norrtälje and work shifts that vary depending on the day of the week, but typically you'll work between 10:00 - 22:15. You are humble, team-oriented, and service-minded when dealing with the public, but also understand the responsibility of your role and can remain objective when necessary. Great weight will be placed on your personal suitability for the position. You have security guard training and a valid security guard authorization Approved grades in Swedish from the first year of upper secondary school Good English proficiency Class B driver's license We also consider it meritorious if you have professional experience from the security industry, are a trained security officer, and/or have good local knowledge of the area. One position is a full-time permanent role and one is a full-time temporary position for 1 year, both with a start date by agreement. We apply a 6-month probationary period. We use selection tests. Employment with Securitas Sverige AB requires approved grades from the first year of upper secondary school in Swedish and approval by the Regional Government Office for employment at an authorized security company according to the Security Guard Act (1974:191). Depending on the position, security vetting according to the Security Protection Act (2018:585) may also be relevant. To investigate and assess whether you meet the requirements for approval under the respective legislation, a background check is conducted. The assessment concerns lawfulness, suitability, reliability, loyalty, and any vulnerabilities. Information obtained may come from you, public sources, or authorities.
