Operational Procurement Specialist for Manufacturing Industry - Start Immediately

SJR is seeking an Operational Procurement Specialist for a consulting assignment northeast of Gothenburg on behalf of our client. The assignment starts immediately and runs initially for six months, with the possibility of extension or employment with the client. We are looking for someone with experience in procurement within manufacturing industry who thrives in a role where you take responsibility and work closely with operations. Here you will be offered a broad procurement role with focus on material supply, supplier relationships, and improvement work in an international environment. About the Position As an Operational Procurement Specialist, you are responsible for ensuring efficient material supply through close collaboration with suppliers and internal functions. The role combines operational procurement work with development of working methods and processes. Your main responsibilities include: • Procurement of materials and components • Daily contact with international suppliers • Follow-up on deliveries, prices, and supplier performance • Work in ERP/MRP systems • Management of article and supplier data • Inventory management and optimization of procurement parameters • Collaboration with production, engineering, and project teams • Support in quotation and supplier matters • Improvement work within procurement and material planning Suitable Background We are looking for someone with several years of experience in procurement within manufacturing industry. You have good system skills and are comfortable working in ERP or MRP systems. As a person, you are curious, forward-thinking, and take initiative. You have a technical interest and enjoy understanding how products, processes, and material flows connect. You are driven by finding improvements in your daily work and are interested in new working methods, digital tools, and the opportunities AI can create. You work in a structured manner, take responsibility for your work, and thrive in a role with many contact points. Furthermore, you communicate fluently in Swedish and English.
