We are now seeking an operations buyer who wants to take a key role in ensuring material supply and supporting the logistics flow. About the Role As an operations buyer, you will play a key role in ensuring that production has the right materials, components, and services in place at the right time. You are responsible for the daily operational procurement work and collaborate closely with production, planning, and logistics. The role also involves an extensive network where you maintain ongoing dialogue with both suppliers and customers to ensure a qualitative, efficient, and well-functioning material flow throughout the supply chain. The role is broad, with work consisting largely of operational procurement but also logistics-related tasks. In addition to procurement, you are responsible for following up on deliveries, managing supplier contacts, monitoring inventory levels, and supporting the logistics department with transport coordination, delivery monitoring, and customs and import matters. You will be an important part of the company's supply chain and actively contribute to developing and streamlining both procurement and logistics processes. The position is located in Kristinehamn and travel may occur to our customers and suppliers in Europe. Responsibilities Place and follow up on purchase orders for raw materials, components, and supplies. Ensure that deliveries occur according to the production plan's needs. Follow up on order confirmations and delivery notices and handle delivery deviations. Prepare and send request for quotes to suppliers. Maintain daily contact with suppliers regarding orders, deliveries, and materials. Collaborate with the logistics department regarding inbound and outbound deliveries, transport bookings, and customs and import matters. Monitor inventory levels and initiate orders in collaboration with planning and logistics. Contribute to efficient material flows from supplier to production. Participate in complaint handling and quality deviations. Be involved in improvement work within procurement and logistics processes. Ensure correct registration and follow-up in the company's business system. About You As a person, you are social and enjoy collaborating with people both internally and externally. You are confident in yourself and your competence, and you handle situations with confidence and willingly take your own initiative. The role requires that you can work independently, make decisions, and drive your work forward while being a team player who contributes to a positive collaborative environment. We also believe that you are structured, solution-oriented, and have the ability to maintain focus even when the pace is high and multiple issues need to be handled in parallel. Requirements Post-secondary education in procurement, logistics, economics, or equivalent work experience. Experience with operational procurement in the manufacturing industry. Strong administrative skills and experience working in business systems (ERP). Very good skills in Swedish and English, both spoken and written. Good computer skills and strong knowledge of the Office suite. Meritorious Experience in logistics or transport-related tasks. Experience with supplier contacts in an international environment. Knowledge of customs and import handling. Experience with improvement work within procurement or logistics.
