The Role of Operational Health and Safety Coordinator Do you want to be part of creating the industry of the future and play an important role in complex projects – in a safe and sustainable way? As an Operational Health and Safety Coordinator in one of Sweden's most extensive construction projects, you will have a central role in monitoring, inspecting, and working with systematic health and safety efforts on site. This is a job where your contribution truly makes a difference – every day, out in the operations. You will work closely with production and other project functions on matters such as safety rounds, statistics, risk assessments, incident management, and preventive health and safety initiatives. You participate in meetings, develop instructions and presentation materials. The role is strongly operations-focused and approximately 80 percent of your working time is spent on site, where you work closely with production. It's not just about rules and procedures – it's about creating a strong and living safety culture where people thrive, perform, and go home safe. With physical presence on the construction site and close collaboration with the client and all project functions, you are helping to build both structure and culture. You report to our Chief of Staff and become part of a committed team in an organization where your efforts make a real difference. Your Profile as Operational Health and Safety Coordinator We are looking for someone with several years of experience from major projects within construction or heavy industry. You understand the production environment and the risks that exist in construction and industrial operations. At the same time, you have the ability to collaborate with the client and other professions in complex environments, where safety, communication, and coordination are crucial to achieving good results. You have the ability to communicate clearly and engagingly. To succeed in the role, we believe you have: Good knowledge of health and safety work and systematic health and safety work (SAM). Experience with safety rounds, risk assessments, and follow-up of health and safety initiatives. The ability to translate regulations into practical safety work. High integrity and a strong safety focus with the courage to act and speak up when safety requires it. Good communication skills and a genuine commitment to creating a safe workplace. Good knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and written, is a requirement for the position. Relevant education is a merit. Experience as a safety representative or work with health and safety matters is a merit.
