About the Workplace
The Surgical Clinic is responsible for all surgical care in Västmanland. Parts of the day surgery operations are conducted at the hospital in Köping. More extensive surgery, both acute and elective, takes place in Västerås. The surgical operations include general surgery, urology, gynecology, robotic surgery, orthopedics, vascular surgery, and otolaryngology. In total, there are 23 operating rooms at the clinic, 5 rooms in Köping and 18 rooms in Västerås. We place great value on collaboration and competency development at the individual level.
We are proud to be one of the most efficient clinics in all of Sweden, with excellent quality results and good patient safety. There is also an opportunity to participate in research and development projects. We are currently building a new acute care hospital that will bring significant development to our operations.
The flex assignment means you work at 2 of the Surgical Clinic's locations: Day Surgery Köping and Orthopedic Surgery Västerås, rotating 4 weeks at each location with a colleague in the same specialty.
The assignment is a temporary position for approximately 3.5 – 4 years until our move to the New Acute Care Hospital, and during this time you receive a task allowance in addition to regular salary. Further clarification about the assignment will be provided at a personal meeting.

Qualifications
We are looking for a licensed nurse with specialist training in operating room nursing. We would appreciate if you have some years of experience in the profession, and previous work in orthopedics is a merit. You have good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written. Experience with the journal systems Cosmic and Orbit is desirable.
