Within the Clinic for Anesthesia, Surgery and Intensive Care, acute and planned surgical care, anesthesia, postoperative care, intensive care for children and adults, and sterilization services are provided at the regional and county level in close cooperation and collaboration with other clinics in the region. The clinic is also responsible for air-ambulance intensive care in the north and for conducting research, development and education. At Operating Unit 3, we work with highly specialized cancer surgery and vascular surgery. Upper gastrointestinal surgery including pancreatic, hepatic and esophageal resections. Colorectal surgery, gynecology, urology and endocrine surgery such as breast and thyroid surgery. Advanced vascular surgery such as abdominal aorta and carotid surgery. Robotic surgery is part of our operations, within urology, gynecology and colorectal surgery. We are also responsible for organ donation and multitrauma. Operating Unit 3 in Umeå is now seeking operating room nurses. Each day we work together in interdisciplinary teams and across departmental boundaries to save, improve and extend lives. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES As an operating room nurse with us, you contribute with knowledge and commitment that makes people feel safe. In your role as an operating room nurse with us, you are responsible for patient safety, good care and nursing before and during surgery within your specialist area. You work independently while being part of an operating room team. Norrlands University Hospital is a teaching hospital, therefore mentoring of students is also included. Mentoring students gives us the opportunity to keep ourselves updated regarding routines and treatments of our patients. QUALIFICATIONS We are looking for you who are a licensed nurse with further education in surgical care. It is advantageous if you have previous experience working as an operating room nurse. You are an organized and attentive person who has the ability to stay one step ahead and thereby contribute to a successful operation. You have a good ability to collaborate with others while being independent. You are able to handle tasks in parallel and quickly adapt and adjust to what the situation requires.
