Surgery Center Umeå's primary goal and mission is to provide highly specialized and high-quality care and research for patients in the northern healthcare region. The clinic is divided into sections for urology, breast, endocrine, vascular, colorectal, and upper gastroenterological surgery, conducted in both outpatient and inpatient care. Care at Surgery Center is characterized by a holistic approach where many different professional categories are engaged and collaborate for the best results. In collaboration with Umeå University, we also conduct successful research with both clinical and preclinical focus. Our mission also includes education and we receive students from several different professional groups. We are now seeking an operations planner for the Upper Gastroenterology (ÖGI) section. WORK RESPONSIBILITIES As an operations planner with us, you contribute to taking good care of others and helping people feel better. You are responsible for operations planning primarily for ÖGI patients and are part of a team with other operations planners, contact nurses, physicians, secretaries, nursing assistants and SVF coordinators among others. As an operations planner you actively participate with the team in multidisciplinary conferences and meetings as well as in operations planning meetings. You also manage waiting lists and provide telephone advice. QUALIFICATIONS We are looking for someone who is a licensed nurse or nursing assistant with experience working in healthcare. It is an advantage if you have worked as an operations planner and have experience working in surgery or operating room care. In your role as operations planner you are attentive and thorough, have good communication skills and master the Swedish language in both spoken and written form. You are able to see the big picture and are flexible in thinking and action. You work equally well in a team as independently and can handle several different tasks in parallel. Great weight will be placed on previous experience and personal suitability. Employment type: Fixed-term employment.
