You will become a key person in the work of developing our department and help turn ideas into concrete improvements for patients, families, and staff. The work is characterized by teamwork, close collaboration between different professions, and a shared focus on quality, patient safety, and continuous development. Ystad Hospital is an acute care hospital with 24-hour operations and a broad mandate within both acute and planned care. As a medium-sized hospital, we offer short decision-making paths, good collaboration, and the opportunity to influence both working methods and development in everyday work. 1 position(s). WORK DUTIES As a nursing leader, you work clinically in patient-centered care while having a clear responsibility for the department's development and improvement work. In close collaboration with the unit manager, you and the other nursing leader share a supervisory function and contribute to developing the operations with a focus on high care quality, patient safety, and a sustainable work environment. The position is divided with approximately 50 percent development and improvement work and 50 percent clinical work as a nurse. The distribution may vary based on operational needs, but both aspects are central to the role. The role includes supporting and guiding the team in daily work, serving as a mentor for new staff, and contributing to competency development through training initiatives, theme meetings, and knowledge sharing. You work closely with other professions such as physicians, nursing assistants, and paramedics to create good collaboration, structure, and a shared working approach. The role also involves identifying development needs within nursing care and contributing to improvement work based on operational goals and patient needs. The position involves work in three shifts, with a larger share of daytime and a somewhat lower degree of weekend duty than usual. QUALIFICATIONS We are looking for you who are a licensed nurse with authorization to work within Swedish healthcare. In addition, you have specialist training. You have good knowledge of Swedish, at least level C1 according to the Council of Europe scale. Experience with inpatient care or neurological care is advantageous. As a person, you are calm, pedagogical, and structured while being flexible, unpretentious, and having the ability to take initiative.
