About the position The Nursing Department for Pregnancy and Delivery is part of the Women's Health and Health Professions Theme and is responsible for nursing care within antenatal care, delivery, and postpartum care in Huddinge and Solna. Here, midwives, assistant nurses, and physicians work in close collaboration throughout the entire care chain, both in outpatient and inpatient settings. The role of Nursing Director (OVC) is a first-line position where you, in co-leadership with four OVC colleagues, lead and distribute work among the organization's employees. You are responsible for developing work methods and procedures as well as enabling, driving, and following up improvement work and projects. You ensure the right expertise and staffing to maintain patient-safe and high-quality care for birthing women and their families. In this role, you work closely with section heads to ensure a coherent care chain and well-functioning teamwork. You report to the operational manager for the nursing department and participate in the management group where together you leverage employees' expertise and ideas to advance the organization. The position is linked to a management assignment that applies indefinitely. We are looking for someone who - has extensive and solid experience within delivery and birthing care and sees the value of co-leadership. You work well with others and relate to management colleagues, employees, and patients in a responsive and smooth manner - leads based on a coaching and trust-based approach where you take responsibility for the whole and promote the opportunity for your employees to engage in care development - is secure, stable, and has self-awareness; you see relationships in their right perspective, distinguish between the personal and professional, and adapt based on the given situation - prioritizes, plans, and acts based on goals and results and adjusts your direction when goals change - communicates clearly and trustfully; you ensure that messages get through and that expectations are clear for those involved and you follow up and remind as needed. Qualifications Requirements: - Licensed midwife with work experience in delivery care Meritorious: - Management experience - Experience driving improvement and work environment initiatives - Leadership training About the recruitment process Selection and interviews may take place on an ongoing basis during the application period.
