Operational Area Dental Care and Leisure Card Register (NAT) is responsible for the leisure card register and state dental care support—an important societal mission for accurate payments during a phase where data analysis and AI support are fundamentally changing control work. For the NAT Development (NATU) area, we are seeking a regional manager to lead development work: guidance, processes, from control outcomes and risk analysis to implemented, measurable effects in core operations. The assignment requires documented ability to drive development in regulation-governed public administration, and persistence to take initiative all the way to realized impact. Operational Development, Sustainability, Operational Responsibility As a regional manager, you are responsible for directing operations and leading people based on the authority's long-term goals and the department's shared direction. The public sector value foundation permeates your work. You lead operational developers. In your assignment, you support the operational area's decision-making and take responsibility for ensuring that decisions are implemented within your area. You create understanding of context, direction, and the objectives the operational area has set, and ensure implementation of the plans your operations have developed. You have operational responsibility, budget responsibility, and personnel responsibility. You have an active role in driving collaboration initiatives from a broader societal perspective together with other authorities and stakeholders. You may represent Försäkringskassan in media contacts. You concretize and break down goals into practical action and ensure through dialogue with your colleagues that strategies and plans are anchored and implemented. Through your leadership, you create the predictability, security, and sustainability necessary for employees to take responsibility and meet the need for change. You adapt and exercise your leadership in a way that creates conditions for employees to use their judgment and competence. As a regional manager, you are part of the operational area's management group, and your direct supervisor is the operational area manager. The position involves handling confidential information, which places high demands on proper handling. Therefore, it is important that you have high security awareness. We are looking for you who - has a university degree or experience and qualifications that can be assessed as equivalent - has several years of experience as a manager with operational, personnel, and budget responsibility - has good leadership ability - develops long-term and positive objectives - takes own initiative and acts proactively, makes things happen, and takes responsibility for results - understands the organization's structure and culture and effectively leverages competencies - can understand and analyze complex issues - collaborates effectively with others to achieve common goals - has good self-awareness and is stable as a person, and promotes a trust-building work environment - promotes mutual dialogue, is responsive, and adapts your communication according to needs and situation. It is meritorious if you - have experience leading operational development within regulation-governed public administration - have documented experience driving development initiatives all the way from analysis to implemented, evaluated, and realized impact in the same organization - have experience with data-driven operational development: using data analysis, indicators, or risk models to drive improvements with measurable effects - have experience working against incorrect payments or risk-based control - have experience with development supported by AI, automation, or advanced analysis in handling or control processes - have experience collaborating with supervisory or standard-setting authorities - have experience leading remotely.
