The Open and Early Intervention Department within the Health and Care Administration has the mission to develop preventive and easily accessible services based on knowledge and evidence so that more residents of Uppsala Municipality can be offered early support when needed. The goal is for residents in Uppsala Municipality to live as independent and healthy lives as possible for as long as possible. You can read more here about what it's like to work as a manager in health and care in Uppsala Municipality (https://www.uppsala.se/jobb/vard-halsa-omsorg/chef-vard-omsorg/) Your assignment As one of two area managers in the Open and Early Intervention Department, you have overall responsibility for open services such as meeting points for older people and people with mental health issues, family support, open employment activities, and support in daily life for people with disabilities. You lead the work within your area through operations managers, whom you coordinate, support, and coach in their management duties. Currently, there are 6 operations managers in the area. You work closely with your area manager colleague and have an important role as a member of the department's management group. You contribute to innovative working methods and welfare technology to continuously improve service quality and be an attractive employer. Your assignment includes: lead and develop work within your area through your operations managers, whom you support and coach in their management duties be responsible for your area's results in both quality and financial terms create good conditions for participation among service users and employees in developing activities and support develop services in accordance with the intentions of the Social Services Act. Who are you? We are looking for someone with experience in change management and several years of management experience in health and care or social work. You have a degree from higher education in an area that the employer deems relevant for the position. Given the direction and focus of the services, it would be an advantage if you have a background in care and disability support services. You have good knowledge of the legislation in the field, a good ability to use relevant system tools, and good knowledge of Swedish speech and writing. We would like you to have experience managing managers and completed management training. The following are meriting: experience working in care and disability support services, experience in preventive open services, experience working in a politically governed organization.
