Area Manager, Falkenberg Parish

Falkenberg Parish is a parish with many dedicated team members; elected representatives, volunteers, and employees. We work in several smaller work teams where proximity to operations and individual responsibility are important foundations. We are now seeking a new area manager for our northern region, encompassing the Vinberg-Ljungby, Stafsinge, and Morup congregations. You will report directly to the parish priest and be part of our management group, where we work on the parish's shared leadership and development. As area manager, you will lead the region independently, with support from the parish priest and a shared office with broad expertise. Your base of operations will be the parish hall in Vinberg. You will lead a team of approximately 30 people, where the cemetery and custodial services have their own work leader. You hold operational responsibility for the region and delegated responsibility for budget and workplace environment. Under your leadership, the church's services, meetings, growth, and presence are shaped. We are seeking someone who wishes to lead and develop the congregation and staff in your role, and to continue strengthening our mission to be a present, accessible, and outward-facing church in a vibrant local community. Qualifications We are looking for someone with a professional qualification as a priest, congregational educator, church musician, or deacon. You must have experience in management with personnel and budget responsibility. Complementary leadership training, such as qualifying parish priest training, is advantageous. As a manager and leader, you are attentive, confident, and clear, with sound judgment and a holistic perspective, and you work with pronounced structure and openness. Your collaboration skills are well-developed, as is your ability to set goals and lead work to achieve them. We will place great emphasis on personal suitability and your leadership qualities. You are a member of the Church of Sweden and share our faith. Since work locations are spread throughout the region, you must have a category B driver's license and access to your own vehicle. We will hold interviews in the afternoons on Thursday, September 10, and Friday, September 11. Please submit your application by September 6.
