We are looking for someone who wants to help shape healthcare services for people eligible under the LSS (Act Concerning Support and Service for Persons with Certain Functional Impairments) – with a focus on quality, collaboration, and engaged leadership. As a Regional Manager, you will have the opportunity to contribute to the development of close-to-home care and make a real difference together with dedicated colleagues. Within the Healthcare and Medical Services Division, Uppsala Municipality's licensed healthcare professionals are centralized. Here we work together with the administration's other divisions on systematic quality development, including processes, continuous improvement, innovation, competency development, and digitalization. The goal is to create and maintain a sustainable operation with high quality that meets citizens' expectations and needs. With us, you will have a development-oriented management role in an organization characterized by care, development, and collaboration. Your Role As a Regional Manager and second-line manager, you have overall responsibility for healthcare services across all operations of the Care Services Committee: group homes for adults, personal assistance, and social psychiatry services. Additionally, Assistive Devices Uppsala Region falls within your area of responsibility. You lead the operations through your facility managers and support and coach them in their roles. Together, you create the conditions for safe, patient-secure, and resource-efficient care. Building good relationships is a natural part of your role, both within and outside the organization. You drive development initiatives and participate in projects that contribute to the operation's long-term goals, while also providing important day-to-day support. Economics, work environment, and patient safety are central focus areas in shared leadership. You are part of the management group for the Healthcare and Medical Services Division and work closely with other parts of the administration. This gives you both an overview and the opportunity to contribute to the bigger picture, with the patient at the center. With us, you will have a development-oriented management role with both breadth and depth, and close collegial collaboration. You have access to support in HR, finance, IT, communications, and facility management. We also offer ongoing competency development and a network of other managers – all to help you develop and succeed in your role. Your Background We are looking for someone who is a licensed healthcare professional and has management experience that has included responsibility for operations, employees, finance, and work environment. To succeed in this role, you need experience working with people eligible under the LSS, as well as strong knowledge of the legislation governing healthcare, LSS, and social services. You must express yourself well in Swedish, both verbally and in writing. It is an advantage if you have completed management training, have experience leading change initiatives within healthcare, and have worked in a similar operation within municipal healthcare services. It is also beneficial if you have experience managing managers, working in public sector operations, and using relevant system support tools in the field. As a person, you have a secure foundation and leadership characterized by both clarity and trust. You have a natural ability to build trusting relationships – with managers, employees, and partners – and you base your leadership on dialogue, attentiveness, and shared direction. You thrive on taking responsibility, are results-oriented, and have the ability to maintain course even as circumstances change. At the same time, you are flexible and can quickly adapt when needed without losing sight of the bigger picture. Your strategic thinking helps you see connections and long-term goals, and you have the ability to move between operational issues and a broader perspective. You have good self-awareness and lead through others in a way that creates engagement, participation, and development.
