About the position
As Regional Manager for Investment Valuation, you will be responsible for the investment valuation area within the Power System Development department. You will coordinate and develop methods and procedures for socioeconomic profitability assessments of investment alternatives. You will drive the development of methods and assessment criteria for investment valuation to enable appropriate decision-making materials. You will provide operational support to colleagues in planning and conducting socioeconomic profitability assessments and developing decision-making materials. As a Regional Manager in the department, you will coordinate and develop collaborations with other relevant units and functions within the department and represent the department in collaborations with other parts of Svenska kraftnät. You ensure that governing documents, instructions, and process descriptions are relevant and support the work.
The role of Regional Manager for Investment Valuation is new, and a significant part of the role's content will be developing the work in collaboration with other units and functions. You will have the opportunity to influence and work in an area of great interest, both internally and externally, where you handle strategically important investment valuations. The role offers a dynamic work environment with a high pace and interesting trade-offs, where you both resolve individual matters and contribute to developing structures and methodology for the future.
You will be part of the Investment Planning unit, which is responsible for the functions of client representatives for facility investments, the portfolio function for facility investments, coordination of civil preparedness within the department, and a team of project managers for operational projects and process leaders. The unit currently consists of 11 employees who have solid collective expertise and experience that they readily share.

Education:
You have a Master's degree in Engineering with relevant specialization such as power engineering, energy technology, or energy systems, or equivalent competence acquired in other ways that Svenska kraftnät considers equivalent.
You also have:
documented several years of experience working with socioeconomic analyses for infrastructure investments either for electricity grids at national and international level or equivalent analyses for other infrastructure
documented several years of experience working with analysis and planning of facility investments in electricity grids at regional or transmission system level in early phases, such as development of decision-making materials and project procurement
at least 10 years of work experience in the electricity grid sector
good understanding of the power system
strong communication skills in both Swedish and English, both written and verbal.
Merits:

experience in leadership, for example in a role as manager or project leader
experience from public state operations, for example from a state authority.
