About the Position As an ophthalmologist at the eye clinic in Halmstad, you need to have broad expertise in general ophthalmology. You will work in a team setting together with various professionals, including ophthalmic nurses, nursing assistants, opticians, orthoptists, and medical secretaries. The position includes outpatient clinic work and customary administrative tasks such as medical record keeping, image review, medical certificates, and prescription writing. We will determine the employment rate together with you, and working hours are scheduled on weekdays during daytime. You will also be part of our on-call line for Halland with some evening and weekend duty with on-call availability from home. About the Workplace Eye Clinic Halland has three service points with clinics in Kungsbacka, Halmstad, and Varberg. Eye Clinic Halland continues to grow, as does our mission to serve Halland's residents in specialized eye care. We need more staff to continue ensuring high accessibility for our patients in Halland. We have highly competent physicians, ophthalmic nurses, nursing assistants, opticians, orthoptists, and medical secretaries. This contributes to a positive and close relationship among all professional groups, which in turn creates a good and developmental work environment. Qualifications We are looking for someone who is a specialist/senior physician and feels confident in your professional role, with several years of experience in general ophthalmology. Experience in cataract surgery/glaucoma surgery is a merit. To thrive in this role, you need to appreciate both working in a team and working independently. You should view professional and patient-centered communication as self-evident. It is therefore important that you are communicative and have a strong ability to express yourself in speech and writing in Swedish. We also see that you have the drive and motivation to influence the development of ophthalmology both in the short and long term. Great weight will be placed on personal suitability.
