Your Responsibilities In the inspection department, various inspections are performed, such as penetrant testing, radiography, measurement, and visual inspection of products before delivery. As part of the team, you will have the opportunity to operate and oversee advanced inspection methods. GKN Aerospace is in a growth phase with planned investments and development of new methods to be implemented in the coming years. You will be an important part of being responsible for implementing and operating new equipment such as digital radiography and ensuring high quality of products inspected with the technology. Your responsibilities include: Perform radiographic inspections of products according to applicable instructions and quality requirements. Perform visual inspection and assessment of products prior to delivery. Evaluate and document inspection results and report deviations. Ensure that inspections are carried out in accordance with applicable processes, standards, and safety requirements. Participate in the implementation, commissioning, and development of new inspection equipment, such as digital radiography. Contribute to developing and improving inspection methods and practices within the operation. Assist in ensuring high quality of products and processes. We are looking for two operators for radiography where the duties also include visual inspection. The position is based on a 2-shift schedule. Working Hours 2-Shift Morning: 06:00–14:00 (Monday–Thursday), 06:00–12:00 (Friday) Afternoon: 14:00–23:30 (Monday–Thursday) Your Profile We prefer that you have at least three years of technical education or equivalent experience from the manufacturing industry. Experience with radiography or penetrant testing is a merit. In this role, the new technology is in focus, and we are looking for someone with a genuine drive and curiosity to learn, understand, and develop it together with the team. To inspect and evaluate products with radiography and penetrant testing, you need to have at least Level 2 certification. If you do not have this today, you will need to undergo training and practical instruction to obtain certification. To thrive in the role, it is important that you have good collaboration skills and enjoy working closely with your colleagues. You have analytical thinking, enjoy solving problems, can drive improvement work, and have a curiosity that drives you to find well-thought-out and practical solutions. We would also prefer that you: Have experience with radiography or penetrant testing, which is a merit. Have at least three years of technical education or equivalent experience from the manufacturing industry. Are meticulous and have an eye for detail, which is important for visual inspection and quality assessment of products. Are driven to develop work methods, contribute improvement suggestions, and be involved in the company's continued development. The position requires that you undergo and are approved according to current regulations for security clearance. For positions where GKN's customer has requirements for security classification, this may, where applicable, entail requirements for certain citizenship.
