Responsibilities
As a quotation engineer, you are responsible for ensuring a smooth flow from quotations and customer orders to handover to production. You work early in the sales process and gather, structure, and quality-assure information from several internal functions to create accurate and feasible calculations and production setups.
The role involves a large internal network and close collaboration with sales, design, production, production management, and procurement. You work with both new projects and recurring quotations, often in deals with longer lead times where the product is developed together with the customer over time. The focus is on creating the right conditions from the start – technically, capacity-wise, and commercially.
You also contribute to improvement work through post-calculations, follow-ups, and development of working methods, as well as responsibility for master data in the business system.
Operations are characterized by customized solutions, long-term deals, and close collaboration between market, design, production, and procurement. The quotation function, design, and procurement are physically located close to each other, which creates short decision-making paths and close daily collaboration. You will become part of a team with strong technical understanding where the role is seen as business-critical – the information generated in the quotation stage sets the framework for how products are manufactured.
Examples of responsibilities:
Prepare quotations and specifications by calculating materials, time, machinery, and production setups
Ensure that correct information is available from the quotation stage through handover to production
Provide input to sales and customer teams regarding capacity, restrictions, and commercial implications
Find solutions to optimize order profitability in collaboration with production planning, procurement, and logistics
Perform post-calculations, manage changes, and drive improvements in dialogue with internal stakeholders
Education, Experience, and Personal Qualities
College degree in a relevant field
Experience from manufacturing industry and production manufacturing
Experience in planning, costing, or related technical roles
Good understanding of the entire order flow, from quotation to delivery
Experience working in business systems (preferably Monitor) and understanding master data (e.g., articles, EOQ)
Background as a designer, production manager, or production supervisor is a merit
Good knowledge of Swedish and English in speech and writing
To succeed in this role, you need to be organized and comfortable working with many parallel contacts. You drive your work independently, ask the right questions, and ensure that you gather the information needed to make good decisions. You find it easy to collaborate with different functions and adapt your communication based on who you are speaking with. At the same time, you are analytical, thorough, and have a clear commercial focus – you follow up, learn from results, and actively contribute to improvements over time.

The vacation period at this time means that the recruitment process takes a bit longer. Continuous selection will be made during the summer and interviews will be held from mid-August.
