About the Department
The IT Department at Chalmers is a comprehensive IT organization responsible for Chalmers' shared systems and providing support to the entire Chalmers Group. Employees regularly participate in exciting projects and develop and maintain solutions for both education and research. The IT Department currently consists of approximately 100 employees distributed across six units on the Johanneberg campus. Within the department, we work on building well-functioning teams that collaborate, utilize new technologies, and modern development platforms to effectively create value for the business.
Job Description
As IT Object Manager, you will lead, coordinate, and further develop IT objects within the systems development area together with a team of developers, within the framework of an adapted form of the PM3 management model. You ensure that the objects support the business' needs, that deliveries occur according to agreed targets for availability, performance, and security, and that the systems are modern, stable, and cost-effective.
You work closely with both the business and the developers in the teams. A central part of the role is to capture requirements from the business and translate them to the developers so that the right functionality is built and delivered. This position is within the Development & Management unit, which consists of developers, project managers, and IT object managers. It is important to us that we share knowledge and experiences within the unit.
