JOB DUTIES The Sámi School in Kiruna seeks a qualified primary school teacher who wants to contribute to students' knowledge development and the school's continued growth. The position's content will be designed based on operational needs and the applicant's qualifications. Teaching may be conducted at the lower and/or middle grade levels. As a teacher, you are responsible for planning, implementing, assessing, and following up on instruction based on the curriculum and other governing documents. You work to create a safe, accessible, and stimulating learning environment where students are given the conditions to develop as far as possible according to their abilities. The role includes close collaboration with colleagues, student services, and guardians. You are expected to contribute to the school's systematic quality work and to the development of instruction. We therefore seek someone who wants to be part of developing and maintaining this unique learning environment. QUALIFICATIONS We seek someone who is a qualified primary school teacher. It is meritorious if you have qualifications to teach mathematics, science subjects, and/or physical education and health. Knowledge of Sámi and experience working in Sámi schools or other Sámi-focused activities are meritorious but not required. We would like to see that you have an interest in Sámi culture and an understanding of the Sámi school's mission. You have strong pedagogical abilities and clear classroom leadership. You collaborate well with students, colleagues, and guardians and contribute to a professional and development-oriented work climate. We seek someone with documented good collaboration skills. Great weight will be placed on personal suitability. Salary form: Monthly salary. Employment form: Permanent employment. Duration: Permanent, start date: August 31, 2026, or by agreement.
