Do you want a varied job with great responsibility and to become an important part of production at Sävar Sawmill? We are now seeking a team member for boiler and kiln operations. About the Job As a kiln and boiler operator, you are responsible for operating our timber kilns and boilers. You monitor and oversee the drying process, perform inspections, and ensure that the timber is dried to the correct quality. The work also involves supervision, preventive maintenance, and troubleshooting minor deviations. The role involves many contact points within the operation, and you actively contribute to developing work methods and creating safe and efficient production. Examples of Work Tasks: • Operation and monitoring of kilns and boilers • Moisture content and quality inspections of timber • Loading and unloading kilns • Supervision and preventive maintenance • Handling deviations and basic troubleshooting • Participation in improvement and development work The work involves intermittent two-shift work (morning/afternoon) and on-call duty for boiler and kiln operations one week every four weeks. On-call duty is an important part of the role and means you need to be able to respond and handle operational disruptions or alarms as needed outside regular working hours. Who Are You? We are seeking someone who is responsible, thorough, and has a strong safety mindset. You enjoy working practically and have an interest in technology and processes. Since the work contains both independent tasks and collaboration with colleagues, it is important that you can take your own initiative while functioning well in a team. We believe you have: • High school education, preferably with a technical focus • Experience from an industrial or production environment • Good computer skills • Good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written • Forklift, tractor license (B1, C1) You do not need to have extensive experience with similar work. For us, the most important thing is that you are curious, want to learn, and have the right attitude. Through structured introduction and training, you will gain the knowledge required to succeed in the role.
