Our Operations We have a large service area as we are one of six highly specialized neurosurgical clinics in Sweden and we receive both planned and acute patients around the clock. The patients we care for have bleeding in the head, tumors in the brain and spine, spinal injuries, vascular malformations, and hydrocephalus. Your Assignment With us, you are responsible together with other nurses, doctors, physiotherapists, and occupational therapists for the pre- and postoperative care of patients in fresh facilities. You are never alone! Your Qualifications We are looking for you who are a trained nursing assistant with at least three years of experience from inpatient care as a nursing assistant. Experience in surgical care is advantageous, however, you are expected to have knowledge and documented experience in basic care as well as specific care such as catheter placement, blood sampling, and being able to take manual checks. Since you work as the sole nursing assistant in our teams, you need experience and knowledge regarding documentation and good planning of your work. We will place great emphasis on personal suitability in this recruitment. Your Competence You enjoy working with patients and their families. You put the patient in focus and are responsible and motivated in your work. With us, there is a large flow of patients, which requires you to be flexible and have the ability to prioritize your work. What We Offer We can offer you a trial employment for 6 months with the opportunity for a permanent position on a full-time basis. The introduction is tailored to your previous experience. Since we use individual scheduling, you have great opportunity to control your work week. Working hours are scheduled for day, evening, night, and weekends. Start date by agreement. For your development, we also have regularly scheduled training days where we, as a group, deepen our knowledge in current topics. We have an internal advanced course in neurosurgery for nursing assistants and nurses over six full days. This course runs on a term basis and all staff are offered the opportunity to attend. As a nursing assistant, you also have the opportunity to take Grund-us, which is a systematic vocational introduction to somatic inpatient care at Akademiska Hospital with practical skills training and lectures.
