Emergency Medical Aid Service (registration No. 90009029104, nmpd.gov.lv) invites applications for a vacant position Senior On-Call Physician (profession code 2212 28) Operational Control Center We invite you to join our Senior On-Call Physician team, who will provide professional support to emergency medical aid brigades! Work schedule: Indefinite duration, full-time/part-time 40/20 hours per week according to an accumulated working time schedule Work location: Laktas iela 8, Rīga Your responsibilities will include: Ensuring continuity of operational processes in providing emergency medical aid (EMA) to residents at the pre-hospital stage daily, in emergency situations, and at public events: - providing methodological support and consultations to EMA brigade leaders during EMA provision; - resolving diagnostically complex issues related to patient transportation or transfer to a medical facility; - consulting residents and medical professionals during EMA call or transportation request intake processes, and making decisions regarding fee application for specific call execution; - addressing questions about urgent and planned (paid) transfers from one hospital to another during the transportation request intake process. Join NMPD if you have: - higher medical education – physician's degree (preferably a certificate of the right to practice emergency medicine or another specialty) - at least three years of professional experience in emergency medical aid; - knowledge of relevant regulatory acts in the field; - ability to work with MS Office programs and operational management applications (e.g., IS Emy, Smart monitor, etc.); - excellent orientation skills in the country's geography and topography; - flexibility in resolving non-standard situations, ability to make decisions and organize your work even in high-intensity conditions; - good communication skills, state language proficiency (C1 level).
