We work with support, operations, and networks and are now looking for more skilled network technicians within Cisco – both junior and senior – for assignments with our customers in the Stockholm area. Your Responsibilities
Whether you're senior or junior, the overarching role description of your daily work as a network technician is problem-solving! You will dive deep into network-related problems of various kinds and complexity levels. Depending on your experience and skills, you may work closely with customers on configurations or in server rooms. There is also the opportunity to work more generally with distribution between these environments.
As a network technician, you will primarily work with problem-solving as mentioned, but you will also work with troubleshooting, setup, and management within your area. Working with DNS/DHCP is part of your daily routine, while you also work with VPN solutions – how exciting does that sound?
Are you like us, someone who values security highly in all different contexts? Great, then you have the opportunity to work with firewalls, from troubleshooting, updates, and setup! Since we're looking for network technicians within Cisco, you can probably guess that you'll be working with Cisco firewalls!
You must be able to act quickly and think on your feet in critical situations, for example when an alert comes in that a network is down – who gets called if not you working in the NOC? Yes, you read that right! We're also looking for you if you work as a NOC technician! In the NOC, you will respond to incoming alerts. If it's not a network that's gone down, perhaps it's another network-related problem where your primary task is to isolate the issue.
Working as a network technician within Cisco will be varied, depending on your experience and which of our customers you'll be working with.
Your Profile and Qualifications
To succeed in the role of network technician, we see that you are a flexible person; you need to be ready to adapt to new environments. You have good communication skills and can express yourself very well in both speech and writing in Swedish and English. With your tactical mindset, you have the ability to think analytically, optimize, and plan. Furthermore, we see that you are a team player who values good collaboration.
Requirements
At least 2 years of experience with Cisco networks
Fluent in speaking and writing Swedish and English
Experience with DNS/DHCP
Knowledge of VPN tunnels and VPN clients
Experience with WAN
Experience configuring routers, switches, and ports
Post-secondary education in networking or other relevant education
Merits
CCNA certification
Driver's license
