Network Engineer for Defense Industry Do you want to work with technology that matters to society in an exciting and technically advanced environment? We are now looking for a Network Engineer who wants to be part of developing and deploying communications and network solutions for ground-based defense systems. The role suits you if you enjoy technology, problem-solving, and working closely with both systems and users in mission-critical environments. About the Team You will become part of a growing team working on digitalization and modernization of ground combat capabilities. The team consists of network engineers, systems engineers, and technical specialists who together ensure that advanced communications and command systems function as intended. Here people help each other and share their knowledge – you don't need to know everything from the start. About the Role As a Network Engineer, you will work with building, configuring, testing, and troubleshooting network and communications solutions. You will work with both hardware and software in complex system environments where operational reliability and functionality are critical. The work takes place both in lab environments, at facilities, and on-site with customers. Travel is part of the position. Examples of Work Tasks Configure and integrate network and communications systems Test and verify functionality in technical solutions Troubleshoot networks, radio systems, and system configurations Build and maintain test and reference environments Provide technical support during exercises and operational activities Work with both Linux and Windows-based environments Collaborate with colleagues, customers, and end users to ensure functioning solutions We are Looking for You With Several years of experience in networks, IT infrastructure, or communications systems Knowledge in areas such as routing, switching, transmission, or data centers Experience with scripting or programming, for example in Python, Bash, or PowerShell Post-secondary education in IT, networks, computer engineering, or equivalent Strong skills in Swedish and English, both spoken and written B-level driver's license Ability to travel when needed Meritorious Experience from the Swedish Armed Forces or defense industry Knowledge of command systems or communications solutions in the defense sector Experience with radio and transmission systems Work in security-classified environments Who Are You?
