Assignment Description
We are seeking a Network and IT Security Technician for a full-time position with a large government law enforcement agency. The role involves strengthening existing operations within the management and development of the agency's complex network and firewall environments to ensure high availability and security.
In this role, you will provide operational support in the daily management of security and network infrastructure. You will work with modern management, monitoring, and automation tools and participate in advanced change and installation work.
Your main responsibilities:
Operational Management & Incidents: Monitoring, troubleshooting, and incident management in complex network and security environments.
Firewalls & Networks: Configuration, installation, and change work related to Check Point firewalls and network products.
Tool Management: Work with tools such as Splunk, AlgoSec, and automation support for analysis and remediation.
Complex Solutions: Manage specialized solutions that deviate from established standards and require advanced technical expertise.
Collaboration & Advisory: Provide technical guidance, documentation, and collaboration with other technical teams.
Mandatory Requirements
At least three (3) years of documented experience working as a network technician.
Documented experience with configuration and management of Check Point firewalls/products.
Experience with troubleshooting and incident management in network and security environments.
Valid Check Point certification (e.g., CCSA or CCSE).
Valid Splunk certification.
Strong ability to communicate in Swedish, both verbally and in writing.
Desirable Requirements
Experience working in larger and complex IT environments.
Experience from security-classified operations or environments with high requirements for information and IT security.
Experience with the Ansible automation tool.
Experience with policy management and analysis tool AlgoSec.
About the Assignment & Practical Information
Period: 2026-11-02 – 2027-09-30 (start as soon as background check is approved).
Option: Extension option until 2028-11-02.
Security: Security-classified assignment (Approved background check required before start).
